Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Lake Manyara NP and Game drives in the park
Leave Arusha city after meeting the safari driver guide and head to Lake Manyara national park getting its name from Lake Manyara. This park has lush forest of acacia and mahogany trees and on the arrival, take a game drive that will last in the evening, spotting the buffalos, giraffes, monkeys, baboons, impalas and more. If you are lucky enough, you may spot the rare tree climbing lions. Head and check in the lodge for your delicious dinner.
Day 2: Transfer to Central Serengeti. Afternoon game drives in Serengeti
Leave Lake Manyara national park with a slow game drive in the park and enter Serengeti national park, a journey that lasts for about 5 hours. This is one of the biggest national parks in Tanzania known for sheltering an incredible population of animals including big five mammals and big cats. Head into the central part of Serengeti for game drives and endless plains hence stretching your eyes to the furthest point.
Meet animals like the lions, antelopes, zebras, giraffes, baboons, monkeys, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, rhinos and wildebeests. The Seronera River offers water for animals and birds and it’s a home for the crocodiles. Head to the lodge for dinner in the evening since lunch will be picnic.
Day 3: Morning game drives in Central Serengeti and transfer to Ngorongoro / Karatu.
