Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, our driver representative will welcome you for a transfer to Arusha town, where you will have dinner and overnight stay awaiting the next day’s transfer northwards to Serengeti National Park.
Day 2. Transfer to Serengeti National Park. Sunset game drives.
Wake up in the morning for breakfast, begin a transfer to Serengeti National Park. On the way, stop for an enroute visit to Olduvai Gorge for a moment to see the evidence of our ancestors dating 2.5 million years, continue to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park.
Spot the migration of iconic wildebeests that mainly happens in the dry season – December to February, and June to October. Meet other animals like zebras, wildebeests, Topis, and gazelles, always followed by predators and these are lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. Return to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 3. Hot air Balloon Safari and Game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Wake up in the morning, be ready for the hot air balloon experience, you will view animals from the sky, reaching far places that are rather hard to reach with a vehicle. You will break for picnic lunch and in the evening go for the evening game drive to explore the vast number of wildlife. Get to meet animals face to face which is an awesome experience.
Day 4. Game drive and transfer to Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning, catch up with animals when they are still very active and the temperatures have not soared. Later continue to Ngorongoro crater where you will get more chances of spotting elephants, buffaloes, zebras on the walls of the green vegetation covering Ngorongoro crater. You may not spot giraffes here because of the steep slopes of Ngorongoro.
Day 5. Morning game drive and departure back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro.
Wake up for breakfast, embark on more wildlife viewing experience, birds like kingfishers, shrikes, woodpeckers, ostriches among others. Later in the afternoon, you will transfer to Arusha airport or Kilimanjaro international Airport for your next destination.
