Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro airport
Depending on the agreed location and arrival time, your safari driver / guide will be there waiting to welcome you and offer briefing about the safari. Immediately drive to Arusha town, check in at the booked lodge, relax, wait for dinner and stay for the night.
Day 2: Travel to Ngorongoro crater
On day 2 of your safari wake up early morning for your delicious breakfast and embark on your journey to Ngorongoro craters. There are very many activities one can do while in this place like bird watching where you record a number of different beautiful bird species such as harriers, swallows, bee-eaters and mostly the flamingos and many more.
Visit the Masai culture for their interesting cultural dance, music and participate if interested. You can also do a nature walk which is the most amazing and memorable experience where you encounter numerous animals. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Depart to Serengeti National Park
Wake up early morning, have your breakfast and check out with the lodge. Meet your safari driver guide and embark on your journey to Serengeti national park located in the eastern Mara and the northeastern Simiyu region.
The drive will take about 4 to 5 hours’ drive to get to Serengeti National park. Check in with the booked lodge for lunch then have your amazing evening game drive or relax.
Day 4: Full day game drive
On day 4 of your safari, you’re going to wake up as early as possible, get your well packed breakfast and move for early morning game drive with the intention to spot nocturnal species for example civets, nightjars, bush babies and some predators like cheetahs, lions, leopards and hyenas.
You can enjoy bush breakfast and proceed with the safari drive to spot other amazing wild animals like hyenas, zebras, impalas, giraffes and wildebeests. Drive back to the lodge for lunch, relax and embark on your journey for the last session of evening game drive.
Day 5: Relax and fly to Zanzibar
This is a free day therefore, you will wake up early morning for breakfast and prepare to check out from the lodge. Later embark on an afternoon flight from Serengeti to Zanzibar which takes you about 45 minutes from Serengeti National Park to Zanzibar. Check in with the booked lodge and relax with an optional activity.
Day 6: Zanzibar island tour
Zanzibar consists of different amazing activities. After breakfast you can engage in snorkeling experience in the Indian Ocean. City tour around the island and sun set dhow cruise. You can also explore giant tortoises found in prison Island or visit the spice plantation. Retreat to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay after such amazing adventure.
Day 7: Fly back home
Arise early morning on this day from your warm bed for delicious breakfast. Meet your driver to drop you off at the airport. Before getting to the airport, you can opt visiting any craft shop. Buy some souvenirs to take home for remembrance. After let your safari driver drop you at the airport and fly back home.
