This Wildebeest Migration & Ngorongoro Safari is designed to take part in and only these protected areas where you will take part in game drives and hot air balloon flights allowing you to spot different wildlife creatures, beautiful rift valley for scenic viewing, craters, endless savannah and more. This is a big five safari so there will be 99% chances of spotting all of them.
Wild animals that will be spotted are giraffes, warthog, wildebeests, zebras, lions, elephants, buffalos, Kirk’s Dik-dik, hippos, crocodiles, primates and birds. On this tour, you will pass via Olduvai Gorge, a place where the first human skull was discovered. Masai Mara national reserve is located in Kenya, Serengeti and Ngorongoro craters located in northern Tanzania.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara National reserve
Meet and greet your local driver guide at any agreed point in Nairobi Kenya with a stopover at the rift valley viewing point for photography. Proceed to Masai Mara with enroute lunch and on arrival, embark on an evening game drive to spot different wild animals and birds. Check in at one of the camps to mark the end of this first day.
Day 2 & 3: Explore Masai Mara
Spend two days in Masai Mara taking part in game drives and hot air ballooning. These experience will take you to the wilderness of Africa through discovering the endless plains that are occupied by different mammal species and bird species.
Among others are the lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, Thompson gazelles, wildebeests, hippos and crocodiles in the Mara river.
Day 4: Cross to Serengeti national park in Tanzania
Have a blast morning breakfast and then bark on the journey to Serengeti national park with a game drive enroute. Serengeti is the finest protected area located in Tanzania having diverse wildlife making it to be a concentration part for the tourists. This park also hosts the annual wildebeest migration that find their way to Masai Mara national park.
The journey takes about 4 to 5 hours to cross but very rewarding with beautiful landscape. Arrive and take part in the evening game drive where different animals will be spot.

Day 5 & 6: Game drives and hot air balloon safaris in the plains of Serengeti NP
Just like Masai Mara, spend two days in this great safari destination undertaking a game drive and hot air balloon safari. Spot wild animals and birds ranging from ostriches, ibis, lover birds, vultures, lions, Rhinos, Wildebeests, Elephants, Buffalos, Giraffes, Topis, Oribis, Warthogs, and zebras.
These will be experiential activities since they will bring you closer to the wildlife and if chance comes, cheetahs will climb to your vehicle.
Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro crater, stopover at Olduvai Gorge and game drive
Head to Ngorongoro Crater, a protected area that covers an area of 8,292 square kilometers near Serengeti national park dotted with savannah grasslands and forested areas. Some parts in the savannahs are occupied with crater lakes and vast wildlife.
On the way, have a stopover at the Olduvai Gorge. Arrive and have an evening game drive where you will spot zebras, jackals, hyenas, serval cats, cheetahs, lions, etc. Check in at the lodge booked for your last night while on this amazing safari.
Day 8: Head to Arusha / Kilimanjaro airport and fly home
Have a game drive enroute as you transfer to Arusha / Kilimanjaro airport. Here you will board your flight back home. This marks the end of this 8 Days Masai Mara & Serengeti & Ngorongoro safari.
