Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Drive to Lake Nakuru National park
Take your time, have your well prepared breakfast, park well all your luggage and check out with the hotel. We shall be heading to Lake Nakuru National park located approximately 164 kilometers from Nairobi city.
Check in from the booked lodge for lunch and in the afternoon drive for the evening game drive to spot different wildlife such as Rothschild giraffe which was introduced in this national park by 1977, elephants, zebras, black and white rhinos and many others. After such great experience drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Game drive in Lake Nakuru. Transfer to Nairobi
Arise early morning from your warm bed for delicious breakfast on this day as early as possible in order to start your game drive early to spot some cats and other nocturnal if possible for example lions, cheetahs and leopards.
You will also spot other animals that you might have missed during the evening game drive, like hyenas, buffaloes, waterbucks and rhinos.
Day 3: Pick up from Nairobi and transfer to Masai Mara
You will be picked by the driver guide of our company and first go through briefing about this amazing tour to Masai Mara. Go through the dos and don’ts to follow while on the tour, activities that you will take, meals and accommodation types and more. You will head to Masai Mara national reserve with a stopover at the viewing point of the rift valley for photography. Arrive in Masai Mara also called Mara plains for your accommodation.
Day 4: Full day game drive in Masai Mara Reserve
Wake up as early as 6:30am, have tea / coffee, get lunch packed and set off on a whole day game drive. Find the nocturnal animals which include lions, leopards, jackals, bush babies hunting actively before the temperatures become hotter. Continue with the day, viewing the plains of Mara and the eyes are always blocked by misty skies.
You may as well spot grazers and browsers, the mighty wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, rhinos, elephants to mention but a few. Retire at your lodge in the late evening and relax, have dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
Have your breakfast, check-out of your lodge and embark on the journey to Serengeti National Park. Reach your hotel at lunch time, have lunch and take an evening game drive close to your accommodation, you will spot some herds of elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests and other species.
Day 6 & 7: Full day game drives in Serengeti National Park
Serengeti is a sanctuary of big 9 instead of big 5. These are lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, rhinos plus the giraffes, hippos, zebras and cheetahs. You will be welcomed by cheetahs hunting the gazelles, herds of buffaloes and elephants among other wildlife. These 2 days’ full day game drive will allow you to exploit the park and you come to the conclusion that Serengeti has endless fun because of the wildlife, birds, plains and plants. You will take different tracks during these days, as you look you visit different kopjes which are the spotting centers for lions looking at their preys and these are; Masai kopjes, Moru kopjes, Simba kopjes. You will always retire to your comfortable lodge for meals and overnight stay.
Day 8. Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will wake up as early as 6:30 am, go for game drive in Serengeti National Park to wind up with the Park’s serenity and the wildlife, with chances to discover species that you might not have seen in the previous game drives.
Go back to the lodge for a transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, reach in the evening hours, check-in to your lodge and relax, have dinner as you are enjoying the campfire.
Day 9. Full day game drive in Ngorongoro.
You will explore the Park by viewing the big 5 of the jungle and these are lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and cape buffaloes, visit the magnificent crater where animals always converge for water.
You will be driven to the 2000ft Crown Jewel of Serengeti which is a caldera that offers breathtaking views of entire ecosystem. Have your picnic lunch from this point and then later retire to your lodge in the late evening.
Day 10. Morning game drive and transfer to Arusha and departure
Wake up by 6:30 am, go search for the nocturnal animals. When they are winding up on their hunting routine before the day brightens up. Capture such moments and then get back to the lodge. Check-out and be transferred to Arusha to catchup with your flight to your next destination.
