Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe airport, pick up & drive to the hotel
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, meet your driver guide for a warm welcome to the Pearl of Africa and later, proceed to the hotel. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay will be at the respective pre-booked hotel in Kampala/Entebbe.
Day 2: Pick up & drive to Rwenzori NP
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and after, have your property packed in the safari vehicle ready to connect to Rwenzori Mountains National Park in western Uganda. This will be 7-8 hours’ drive and lunch will be served at a hotel Kasese before you connect to the Rwenzori Mountaineering Services (RMS) offices to be registered. Relax, dine and retire for the night at the nearby camp/lodge.
Day 3: Begin the hike from Nyakalengija to Nyabitaba Hut
Arise early morning for breakfast and after, assemble at the park offices for briefing and allocation of hiking/mountaineering guides. Today, you will embark on 5 to 7 hours’ trek starting an altitude of 1646 meters. Hike through the Bakonjo homes and you will have the first stop at Nyabitaba Hut.
Day 4: John Matte Hut
Depart Nyabitaba Hut for John Matte Hut early in the morning after having breakfast. Fully energized, begin your trek through the Kurt Shaffer Bridge and cross Bujuku and Mubuku Rivers. You will be conquering the steeper and slippery trail till you get to John Matte for relaxation.
Day 5: Bujuku Hut
Have breakfast at John Matte Hut and set off for Bujuku Hut crossing Bujuku River navigating via Bigo Bog. Trek through the steep side of the hut till you get to the upper Bigo bogs. At Lake Bujuku, you can be viewing Mount Baker, Speke and Mt, Stanley.

Day 6: Hike to Elena Hut
Leave Bujuku Hut for Scott Elliot & Elena Hut where Central Circuit point ends. From this point, you will begin another phase to the Margherita pea (Mount Stanley). This will involve hiking through a steep rock trail and depending on the season, it can be slippery if it is a rainy season. Navigate through the Central circuit, the alpine zone till you get to Lake Kitandara Hut for relaxation, & dinner.
Day 7: Margherita peak
Enjoy breakfast early in the morning and after, you will hike up to Margherita peak (5109m). At this point, crampons and ropes will be needed. Leave Margherita peak after photography and descend to Guy Yeoman Hut for relaxation and a night stay.
Day 8: Guy Yeoman Hut to Nyabitaba Hut
Start descending back to briefing point, about 5 hours. You will have a relaxed stay at Nyabitaba Hut.
Day 9: Nyabitaba Hut to Nyakalengija
Descend further from Nyabitaba to Nyakalengija where you were briefed on the first day of the hike. This is where you will meet your driver for transfer to accommodation for relaxation and night stay.
Day 10: Rwenzori Mountains back to Kampala
Have a heavy breakfast and you will meet the driver guide afterwards. Start your journey back to Kampala where you will check in at the classic hotel for relaxation and night stay.
Day 11: Kampala city tour (Full day)
Pick up at your hotel for long day city tour in Kampala. Start your first visit to Mengo or Lubiri Palace to explore more about its history and background. This historic and cultural place was constructed in 1885 as home to Buganda Kings. Leave Lubiri for hands-on food preparation experience and the process will involve identifying a mature Matooke and harvesting. You will learn how food is prepared in Buganda and what and the team will prepare will be served as your lunch.

After lunch, you tour the Kabaka’s Lake, one of the few beautiful man-made Lakes on the African continent. From the Kabaka’s Lake continue to the hotel for relaxation and night stay.
Day 12: Kampala-Entebbe & fly to Maasai Mara (Kenya)
Leave the hotel for Entebbe Airport (EBB) after having breakfast. At Entebbe, you will fly direct to Maasai Mara National Reserve Kenya. Arrive early and check in at the safari camp/lodge.
Day 13: Game drive & Great Migration
Wake up early and enjoy a delicious breakfast at your camp. Meet your driver guide with your cameras ready then you will drive through Maasai Mara N. Reserve plains while spotting its abundant wildlife. Your day sightings will include big five game –lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, rhinos, and observe the great migration. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed and then the afternoon game viewing will continue as you look out for more wild animals.
Day 14: Hot air balloon, Game drive & Maasai cultural experience
Set off for early morning hot air balloon experience and enjoy aerial view of wildlife species accompanied by bush breakfast. After the balloon tour, continue with a game drive to see more wildlife including the ones you missed during the previous wildlife viewing session. Retreat for lunch break and later, continue to Masai community to explore in depth the Masai Warriors cultures, traditions and get entertainment by their unique dances.
Day 15: Departure from Masai Mara
Enjoy a delicious breakfast and you will meet the driver guide for pick up and transfer to Nairobi. In Nairobi, you will check in at the hotel or drive direct to the airport to catch up with the late afternoon/evening flight back home.
