Detailed Itinerary

6-Day Kenya Tanzania Wildebeest Migration Safari to Masai Mara & Serengeti

Day 1: Entebbe international airport to Kampala tour

At the international airport at Entebbe today, meet and greet our company representative. Drive to your lodge later to check in and get some refreshments. It will be time to get to know Kampala City in the evening, one of the busiest metropolises on the African continent. Gadhafi national museum, Kasubi tombs, and neighborhood markets are among the places you will see while exploring the city. In the crowded area, you must use caution when snapping photos and using your phones. We return to the lodge for dinner and night stay to round up the day.

Day 2: Kampala city to Bwindi national park

Early in the morning, have a cup of coffee to start the day. After that, you’ll check out of the lodge and drive for 7 to 8 hours to reach western Uganda’s lush jungle of Bwindi. There will be lunch break along with beautiful views of the verdant landscape, undulating hills, and scattered homesteads. Additionally, you can see the renowned Ankole long-horned cattle grazing. You will go to one of the four sectors of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where the activity will be completed the following day, by car. Dinner and overnight are the day’s final scheduled events.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies encounter

Today will start with a hearty breakfast at the lodge. After that, you’ll prepare your packed lunch and put on your hiking gear in preparation to encounter the world’s toughest primate species. Additionally, these studies have shown that they behave and have DNA that is over 98% similar to human DNA. It’s an experience of a lifetime to meet them in the bush. Document verification, gorilla visitor orientation, and an explanation of the trekking dos and don’ts are all covered in the 30-minute session. Trekking is a difficult activity carried out on foot through dense wilderness. Depending on how far the apes have travelled, it can take anywhere from 1 to 8 hours to locate them.

Other features of the jungle that the ranger guides will be explaining are the rare plant species, nests, birds, forest creatures, caverns, and more. The gorilla family you are tasked with tracking is over 98% likely to be encountered, and once you do, you have an extra hour to observe them as they feed, play, and other activities. You will return to the lodge for refreshment after spending an hour gazing at the graceful swans striking poses, the mothers rocking their infants, and the super stars playing carefree everywhere. In the forest, we’ll have lunch.

The cultural tour with Batwa pygmies is a wonderful experience because it makes you realize that there are people who are smaller to you but are just as happy. These people have a history of living in the forest as hunters and gatherers, have a strong leadership structure, and are not bothered by modernity despite being forced to adapt. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge to mark the end of your day.

Day 4: Bwindi to Entebbe. Flight to Nairobi, Kenya

After an early breakfast, you will depart the lodge and be transferred to Entebbe International Airport in time to board a scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya. There will be lunch stop in Mpigi where you may experience the equator.
