This 6-Day Masai Mara & Aberdare Wildlife Safari in Kenya in the East of African continent offers a rewarding wildlife experience. Aberdare national park is one of the largest national parks in Kenya with her stunning scenery and lots of Rhinos.  Masai Mara national reserve on the other hand is a co-host of the annual wildebeest migration as well as the highest concentration of lions / cats in the African continent.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival via Jomo Kenyatta Airport. Optional city tour in Nairobi.

This is the start of your 6 days Masai Mara and Aberdare NP safari. Six days of uncovering the magical land of Kenya; teeming animals, birds, culture and nature will make your holiday under our special guidance as incredible as it can ever be. At the airport, meet and greet our company representative with a placard inscribed on your name.

Get briefed on what to expect on this safari. Thereafter, take an optional two-hour tour of Nairobi city; visiting national museum, art galleries, and local markets. Have lunch around the city Centre, and then later drive to your lodge for check-in. End this day with dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Pick-up from Nairobi and transfer to Aberdare National Park.

Very early in the morning, breakfast will be served and then checkout for a transfer to Aberdare National park. This takes about 4-5 hours as you watch breathtaking landscapes, dotted homesteads and stunning landscape. Lunch will be enroute, and then hit the road to Abardare National park while watching beautiful landscape and busy towns. Arrive in the park evening hours for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Birding and full day game drive.

Today, wake-up very early in the morning for a 2 hours’ birding experience at the designated swamplands. There are over 290 bird species recorded in this park. These are among others the Abardare cisticola, tacazze sunbird, mountain buzzard, hartlaubs Turacos, fulvous whistling-duck, dendrocygna bicolor etc.

After two hours, have a bush breakfast and then keep looking out for animals on your wish list. The midmorning and evening game drive ushers you to the world of lions, elephants, baboons, Rhinos, zebras, and much more. Lunch is in the wild, while before sunset you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The scenic drive reveals the beautiful sceneries, what happens in the rural Kenya and through the busy town of Narok. Get to your lodge in the park in the afternoon hours; check-in, have relaxed dinner and night stay.

Day 5: Game drives and Masai Cultural exchange

Start your morning with hefty breakfast at the lodge, and then head to Mara wilderness for a 4-5 hours’ game drive. Concerning encountering the animals in your wish list; it purely depends on your luck. The Masai savannah park is one of the most stunning wildernesses in Africa, attracting hundreds of visitors for nature photography and videography.

Lookout for the prey and predators hunting, grazing, and feeding around the vast savannah park. You will lookout for the lions, leopards, cheetah, African elephants, Cape Buffaloes, warthogs, Giraffes, several Antelope species and more. Your sole purpose of this experience archers you to the unique sights and sounds of Mara wilderness. A story is made after game drive tour!

After game drive, lunch break follows, and then a cultural experience with the Masai warriors in their community. Masai people are among the most hospitable people in the world. Their drum beats, village tours, stories, hunting and herd keeping lessons takes you to rest, and puts an unrivalled smile on your face.

Day 6: Drop-off back in Nairobi.

After a refreshing sleep, you will wake-up to a relaxed breakfast meal at the lodge, and check-out to Nairobi city on a thrilling 5-6 hours’ scenic drive. There is an enroute stopover for lunch, and a drop off at the agreed point.
