Detailed Itinerary

11-Day Masai Mara Wildlife Safari & Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing Tour

Day 1: Welcome to Kenya! Meet and greet.

Upon arriving in Nairobi, Kenya, a representative from our company will greet you. He introduces you to an incredible Kenya Wildlife & Culture Vacation. His smile will lead you to what comes to mind, and you can recognize him by looking at a name tag. After the briefing, you’ll be transferred to your lodging for some refueling and rest.

You have entire evening to decide whether to take a city tour or stay at your lodge. Nairobi elephant orphanage, giraffe center, local markets, and national museum are all located in the heart of Nairobi. After dinner and a sleep, call it a day at the hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, it’s time to leave the city and travel to the countryside, the unspoiled areas of the world. The 5–6-hour drive includes a photography stop at the Great Rift Valley and a lunch stop in Narok town. From Narok town to the park, there is a maram road with beautiful views of plantations. The day comes to a close with dinner and a sound sleep.

Day 3: Full day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Start your day with a cup of coffee, then go on a full-day excursion to Masai Mara with fruits and packed lunch. You have a chance to see and hear various prey and predators that call the Masai plains home, including the rhinoceros, wildebeests, cheetahs, lions, elephants, zebras, warthogs, and several types of antelope. Additionally, you will get the chance to see various birds, reptiles, and other animals. Before heading back to the lodge for dinner and the night, stop by the Mara River.

Day 4: Bird watching and cultural encounter

Start your day off right with a scrumptious breakfast at the resort. Go ahead and identify the birds by name, characteristics, and habitat after that. There are around 450 different bird species in the park, and our knowledgeable birders will help you identify them. Some of these include eagles, ostriches, flamingos, kingfishers, marabou storks and Kori-bustards.

Return to the lodge for lunch following your birding excursion, and then you may enjoy some wonderful entertainment provided by the Masai Warriors, with the winner of the day being the highest jumper. There will be a tour of crawl spaces, fantastic music, and the attics where the cattle are kept. Their stories of their history makes the day special, before you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, check-out of the lodge for a transfer to Lake Naivasha. The journey takes about 3-5 hours with views of the stunning landscape and lush plantation. Arrive at the park and have lunch, followed by a boat cruise where you will enjoy beautiful lake breeze, photography and watch hippos, crocodile’s aquatic birds and more. End this day at the lodge with dinner and a sweet slumber.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha to Explore Hell’s Gate National park

At day break, start with a cup of coffee and then transfer to Hell’s Gate national park. Upon arrival, go for a full day game drive; looking out for giraffes, hartebeests, Buffaloes, Thompson’s Gazelles, lots of Bird species, elands, and kobs. There will be a picnic lunch break, as the evening session lasts to sunset when you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Hell’s Gate National park to Lake Nakuru

Guided nature walks to the hot springs and geothermal station follow a morning breakfast meal. After, you will hit the road to Lake Nakuru, where you will arrive at Lunch time for Lunch and refreshment at the lodge. In the evening, your will take your day relaxing at the beautiful gardens. End this day with dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Full day at Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, the wish will be to tick off all your favorite animals, take the best photography, and have a memorable drive around the savannah park; but it is all about Luck. In the open park is among others; the giraffes, zebras, leopards, cheetah, pythons, warthogs, lions, hippos, jackals, gazelles, elands, dik-dik, baboons, impalas, and more.

The first session lasts for about 3-4 hours; thereafter you will have lunch break. The evening will be spent by the lake shores where you will watch the pink flamingoes, and several other aquatic bird. The day ends with dinner and a peaceful nap.

Kenya Wildlife & Culture Vacation

Day 9: Lake Nakuru to Ol-Pejeta conservancy / sweet waters

Take a cup of coffee to start your day. After leaving the lodge, you will be taken to the Ol-Pejeta conservancy. The trip takes roughly 4-5 hours, and the scenery includes thriving plantations and scattered homesteads.

Arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon, have lunch served to you, and then visit the sanctuary for chimpanzees. They contain over 98% human-like DNA and produce over 25 noises that are unmistakable. You will return to the lodge for refreshments, dinner, and overnight after your time with the chimpanzees.

Day 10: Ol-Pejeta conservancy and transfer to Samburu National park

Breakfast should be had first thing in the morning, followed by a game drive in the savannah grassland. With the assistance of a seasoned ranger guide. You will keep an eye out for both hunters and those being hunted. Africa’s Big 5 (lions, rhinoceroses, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards), warthogs, cheetah, and other animals can all be seen there, along with birds, olive baboons, and other primates.

You will return to the lodge for lunch following the 3–4-hour trip, and then drive to Abardare National Park. After taking in the stunning scenery, lush plantations, and other sights, you’ll head to the park for dinner and a restful night’s sleep.

Day 11: Full day adventure in Aberdare National park

Go on a game drive in the woods after breakfast served at sunrise. You will pass through forests and craggy mountain ranges as you drive. Numerous creatures, including African elephants, cape buffaloes, warthogs, duikers, and other species, as well as birds and monkeys, call the picturesque landscape home. After finishing your tour of the park in the late afternoon, you will return to the lodge for lunch before having the rest of the evening free to unwind. Dinner is provided at dusk, followed by a restful snooze.

Day 12: Transfer back to Nairobi

After enjoying a relaxed breakfast at the lodge. You will depart for Nairobi city, but with an enroute stopover at Thompson Falls for photography. Afterwards, proceed with the scenic drive to Nairobi city or any other preferred drop-off point.
