Green pastures in September cover the east side of Masai Mara National Reserve. Herds move in that direction in search of food, with many settling in Lamai and Kogatende.
Looking back at August, these animals cross the Mara River, and by September, they are fully settled, searching for areas with enough grass to feed their families.
This period is often considered one of the best times for watching the wildebeest migration, as many animals can be seen, including wildebeests, zebras, lions, leopards, and cheetahs, which mainly hunt the herbivores that are very active during this month.
